Barcode Printers & Labels FAQs
Printing durable, scannable ID cards, asset tags, and shelf labels.
Printers
Thermal-transfer or direct-thermal label printers, sized to your volume — a small desktop printer for a front desk issuing ID cards, or a higher-throughput printer for a warehouse tagging incoming stock daily.
Depends on the printer class: card printers are built specifically for PVC ID cards, while label printers handle adhesive barcode/QR labels for assets and shelves. We scope which one (or both) you need.
We install and configure the printer to work directly with the relevant module (HR & OMS for ID cards, Assets & Inventory for asset tags) so your team just prints from the portal.
Labels & materials
We offer label stocks rated for indoor warehouse use (abrasion and light-moisture resistant) and tougher options for outdoor or cold-storage tagging — specified based on your site conditions.
Yes, standard thermal-transfer labels are rated for years of handling and scanning under normal conditions; high-wear items get a tougher label stock recommendation.
Ordering & supplies
Through us — the same support relationship that installed your printer handles consumables, so stock and compatibility are never a guessing game.
Flag it to your support contact; consumables are generally available quickly since we stock the same materials used in your original install.
